Century Media Records, Mediaskare Records, Hot Topic and Alternative Press Present The 2nd Annual "Metal For The Masses" Tour

Century Media Records, Mediaskare Records, Hot Topic and Alternative Press are teaming up to present the 2nd annual “Metal For The Masses” Tour. This massive six-week trek, which kicks off on April 12th, features some of the Century Media family’s hottest new acts including As Blood Runs Black, Stick To Your Guns, Winds of Plague, The Ghost Inside (on select dates) and Veil of Maya. With Dead Hands Rising (on select dates) and Belay My Last (on select dates) round out the bill. This devastating package is one of the most brutal, fan-friendly and affordably-priced tours this spring and is sure to be the perfect alternative to the upcoming oversaturation of festival events. For additional information on any of the bands or to view the tour’s itinerary feel free to visit www.myspace.com/metalforthemasses

The LA based quintet AS BLOOD RUNS BLACK created quite a buzz for themselves with their debut Mediaskare release, Allegiance, and the hype for their sophomore effort continues to build to epic proportions. The band’s live presence is a force to be reckoned with and is built on aggression, speed and sheer brilliant musicianship. You don’t want to miss out on this headlining set; prepare yourself for their new full-length release this summer.

Never one known to rest on their laurels, AS BLOOD RUNS BLACK welcomes this undying touring schedule, which sees them come straight from the Unearth and Bury Your Dead tour into this much-anticipated headlining run. This trek marks their first full headlining U.S. tour and will feature a slew of new material from their upcoming album. This is your first chance to hear this material live, so don’t miss out.

AS BLOOD RUNS BLACK states: “We are looking forward to being back on the road after being home for three months, especially with all our Southern California brothers and Midwest labelmates With Dead Hands Rising and new members to our extended family Veil Of Maya on the tour. It will be great to play new songs in front of a live audience to give them a taste of what’s to come from our new album, which will be coming out at the end of the summer. Starting this year in the studio has left us starving to get back on the road.”

Guitarist Sal Roldan says: “From working at Hot Topic and selling the Metal For The Masses CD, it's definitely a trip to be on the tour for it.” Guitarist Ernie Flores further comments: “Being a part of this tour is a privilege, headlining this tour is an honor.”

Another Southern-California based quintet, STICK TO YOUR GUNS, have just completed work on their much-anticipated new full-length offering, Comes From The Heart, with acclaimed producer Zeuss (Hatebreed, Shadows Fall), which is set for a May 13th release. The album is crushing with diversity, with something for everyone. It has everything you could possibly need, from giant melodic singing choruses, to intensely fast beats with devastating guitar riffs. In 2008, STICK TO YOUR GUNS will deliver an album that will have the thrashers headbanging like its 1984, while the hardcore kids create a flurry of circle pits.

Casey Lagos (drums) further comments: “We are so excited to do this tour and play some new tunes from our upcoming album. We've been great friends with As Blood Runs Black and Winds of Plague for almost five years now. We all started around the same time and played shows together a lot when we were younger. It's been so awesome to watch our friends’ bands grow, and be able to travel the nations together doing what we love and are called to do. See you out there!”

WINDS OF PLAGUE is currently one of the hottest bands in the genre as their debut CM offering, Decimate The Weak, stormed out of the gates with a vengeance. The group just completed the “Arthropodan Eroticism Tour” with Dead to Fall, Impending Doom and Belay My Last, leaving a trail of disaster throughout each city. The addition of Kristen Randall (keyboards) added another deadly element to their already devastating assault.

Johnny (vocals) further describes his excitement over the tour: “When I first started getting into metal I would always anticipate the release of Hot Topic’s Metal For The Masses compilation. It’s a great way to discover new up and coming bands and sample new material from old favorites. Being featured on the comp. as an artist this year is a huge personal accomplishment and an awesome opportunity for the band. The lineup for the 2nd annual tour promises to be one hell of a show and we couldn’t be more proud to play alongside our California brothers As Blood Runs Black and Stick To Your Guns, as well as the very powerful Veil Of Maya. This is one show you don’t want to miss. We hope to see you all there.”

Decimate The Weak retains the band’s hardcore roots while the atmospheric sounds of Scandinavian black metal and classic American metal reign supreme. This stunning slab of brutality annihilates the listener with its razor sharp riffs and sheer intensity backed with a monsoon of angst and inner demons that is just waiting to be expelled on stage.

In 2008, WINDS OF PLAGUE pave their own path of destruction unlike anyone has yet witnessed
