A lawsuit filed by a security guard against NIKKI SIXX and TOMMY LEE alleging assault at a 1997 MÖTLEY CRÜE concert in Greensboro, North Carolina has been settled out of court. The guard, JOHN ALLEN, had sought over $75,000 in damages but the amount of the settlement was not disclosed. In other Crüe news, VINCE NEIL will host the fourth annual Skylar Neil Memorial Golf Tournament on April 27 at the Malibu Country Club in Malibu, California. PANTERA, who debuted on the Billboard Top 200 last week at #4 on the strength of 161,000 copies sold of Reinventing the Steel (solid, but not enough to stop the 'NSYNC juggernaut), will launch a U.S. headlining tour in September, after OzzFest. As previously reported, The Heavy Metal 2000 soundtrack will be released April 18. The first single will be "Silver Future" from MONSTER MAGNET. There will be four separate album cover designs, each designed by SIMON BISLEY, and the first 250,000 CDs will contain a bonus CD-ROM put together by director KEVIN EASTMAN. Though rumors of touring remain unconfirmed, METALLICA will be quite visible on the home screen. The band will shoot a video for their Mission: Impossible 2 soundtrack song "I Disappear," perform it on the MTV Movie Awards in May, and be the subject of a VH1 special on May 14. FATES WARNING have finished recording Disconnected at Carriage House Studios for release July 25th. As previously reported, the album features a guest appearance from Kevin Moore (ex-DREAM THEATER) on keyboards. Never to repeat themselves, it's heavier than previous outings but is still signature Fates Warning. The track listing is as follows: 'One', 'So', 'Pieces of Me', 'Something for Nothing', 'Still Remains', and the 16 minute 'Disconnected'...
