New Iron Maiden album to be released
IRON MAIDEN's first single from Brave New World, "The Wicker Man," will be released on May 8. The CD single is available in three formats: disc 1 with "The Wicker Man," "Man on the Edge" (live), "Powerslave" (live), enhanced "Wicker Man" video footage shot in recently in Los Angeles by director DEAN KARR, and a double sided poster; disc 2 with "The Wicker Man," "Futureal," (live track and enhanced video), "Killers" (live); and a 12" picture disc with "The Wicker Man" and live "Powerslave" and "Killers." You can hear a sample of "The Wicker Man" HERE... Uhh, it's not exactly what you'd call "trailblazing"...but it IS Iron Maiden, that's for damn sure.
ATELLO have re-entered the Billboard Talent Net (again!) this week with all three available tracks making a showing on the Top 50. Obviously, your votes are making a difference. They have also been added to the following site: http://stage.vitaminic.com/atello
AEROSMITH is working with producer MATT SERLETIC on songs for a new album, the band's first studio effort since Nine Lives.
Those of you aspiring musicians who think you're going to join a band and get rich and famous, check this out: On a recent edition of VH1's "Where are they Now?" QUIET RIOT's Kevin DuBrow revealed that he only makes about 200 dollars per show these days (even with this semi-resurgence of hard rock and metal), and is in debt up to his eyballs with the IRS. That mechanic job is looking a lot better, huh?
POWERMAN 5000, who'll soon be seen in a live video for "Supernova Goes Pop," shot in February at the Palace in Hollywood and will open for PANTERA in Europe this spring, recently recorded a song for the animated movie "Titan A.E." called "The End is Over," a summer sci-fi flick also featuring STATIC-X. After trips to Japan and Australia, the band will tour the States again in the summer.
