POISON's new Power to the People CD will be released via their own Cyanide Music label on June 13, the same day their tour with CINDERELLA, DOKKEN, and SLAUGHTER begins in Hershey, Pennsylvania. SAMMY HAGAR has a new album in the works, which may be called Ten Thirteen, referring to the date of his birth, October 13--and the possible (approximate) release date for the disc. Hagar will perform on May 2, 4 and 6 at his Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico with his band the Waboritas in honor of the Cinco de Mayo holiday.
LIMP BIZKIT found the time recently to shoot a video for "Take A Look Around," the theme song to the upcoming "Mission: Impossible 2." Limp frontman Fred Durst had hoped to land "M:I2" star Tom Cruise for the video, but few things about the video shoot went as planned. I hated it, plus it's only for Europe," Durst said, noting that "Take A Look Around" will not be released in the U.S. as a single. "You'll probably find a way to get it." (*ahem*...Napster, we're looking in YOUR direction)... Speaking about his planned pairing with Cruise, Durst said, "Tom Cruise couldn't be in it. I talked to him personally. So Wes [Borland, guitarist] brought up the idea then to get a Tom Cruise lookalike, which I think, that would be the way to do it."

METALLICA may reteam with S&M cohort MICHAEL KAMEN, who is scoring the soundtrack to the upcoming movie The X-Men. Metallica, already on MI: 2 via "I Disappear," may contribute a song to the X-Men project.
