Pearcy to do solo album

Stephen Pearcy, former lead singer for RATT, has announced a solo date at the Key Club in LA. The ad states that he will be performing all of RATT's greatest hits. Umm... excuse me, umm... Stephen... Ummm... why the f*ck did you leave RATT then? We got a peek at the new KID ROCK song, "American Badass" last night... Well, has anyone heard METALLICA's "Sad But True"?.. OK, then you know what this song sounds like. It's the "SBT" riff played over and over and over and over and over with Kid Rock rapping over it. Not his best effort. It'll be interesting to know how long he can make this shtick work. Before heading abroad to launch a European tour last week, PANTERA headed to New Orleans and Hollywood to shoot a video for "Revolution Is My Name" with director Jim Van Bebber. The director and Pantera frontman Phil Anselmo have been friends for some time, and Anselmo has supplied music for some of Van Bebber's work. This time around, Van Bebber found four child actors to assume the roles of Pantera's various members and mixed that footage with live performance clips of Pantera. The video debuted on MTV's "Return Of The Rock" last week and is currently in rotation on the channel. The band is currently in the U.K. where it plays Wolverhampton on Wednesday and Manchester on Thursday. Come July, Pantera will be back in the States to hit the road with Ozzy Osbourne, Godsmack, Ministry, P.O.D., Methods Of Mayhem, Incubus, and the rest of Ozzfest 2000. The postponed chat with KORN drummer DAVID SILVERIA has been rescheduled for today, April 27, at 7 PM ET at korn.com. Korn, whose next video from Issues is "Somebody Someone," hits the road with METALLICA, KID ROCK, POWERMAN 5000 and SYSTEM OF A DOWN on June 30 in Foxboro, Massachusetts. Shrapnel Records' GREG HOWE has landed a gig playing for Marc Anthony. Greg has previously played with Michael Jackson, and has recorded a few albums with Richie Kotzen for release on Shrapnel Records. IRON MAIDEN are scheduled to play Madison Square Garden when they tour the United States thi year... No, it's not part of a package tour... yet. I'm skeptical that they could fill the Garden... even with the return of Bruce Dickinson and Adrian Smith... Who knows? Maybe. ARMORED SAINT had to cancel all appearances between June 20 and September 10 because JOHN BUSH is committed to touring with ANTHRAX, who are on the MÖTLEY CRÜE/MEGADETH tour. However, Armored Saint will be able to play the shows booked between May 1-26 in the U.S. and a couple of European festivals prior to the summer tour. AC/DC, whose VH1 Behind the Music episode is slated to air in June, will begin touring the States in August and Europe around six weeks later. LAIDLAW landed two more weeks of U.S. shows with LYNYRD SKYNYRD, which will take place sometime this summer, and the band may accompany Skynyrd to Europe as well (or tour there on their own). Guitarist CRAIG DeFALCO wrote a song called "Ode to Ronnie," honoring the late RONNIE VAN ZANDT, and Skynyrd's GARY ROSSINGTON was so impressed by it that he asked to play on the cut when Laidlaw records it for the follow-up to the current First Big Picnic CD.
