Atello to play Birch Hill

ATELLO are rehearsing like crazy for their gig this Friday at the Birch Hill Nite Club with MR. BIG. Doors open at 8, and they are scheduled to go on between 9 and 9:15. Those of you that still need tickets can either contact the band (preferred method), or get them at the door. Tickets are $10 through the band & $12 at the door. In addition to the web coverage, they are also about to enter into several overseas distribution deals to continue to spread the word AND are about to launch a UK fan club. More details as they become available. SLAYER and SEPULTURA have joined COAL CHAMBER, SLIPKNOT, SEVENDUST, NASHVILLE PUSSY and (HED) PE on the Tattoo the Earth tour, which kicks off in July. METALLICA may be on the bill at the tour's stop in E. Rutherford, New Jersey but that--and the itinerary--has yet to be confirmed. Now in rehearsals for Broadway's Jekyll & Hyde, the dual lead role which he takes over on June 13 (from TV actor JACK WAGNER), SEBASTIAN BACH admits to a bit of nerves about his non-rock stage debut, but after intense preparation, "my acting is beginning to feel as confident as my singing," he says. Based on the ROBERT LOUIS STEVENSON classic novel, the show gives Bach the chance to play the proper Dr. Jekyll and evil Mr. Hyde, and sing songs that he describes as "very similar in emotion to '18 and Life' and 'I Remember You,'" not to mention wear "incredible clothes." And yes, he gets to keep his long hair. Bach's gig will run for four months, six nights a week (no matinees). "It’s a cool night out and you get to hear me sing a different way, watch me murder a bunch of chicks," he says. Bach will appear on VH1's The List on Monday, June 12 in an episode on "Best Make-Out Song," airing at 7 and 11 PM ET/PT. THE DEFTONES will be DAVID LETTERMAN's guest band on June 20, the day their White Pony CD is released and the day before they hit the road in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Bat Head Soup - A Tribute To Ozzy Osbourne is set to be released this summer. The Japanese release date is August 8 and the US release date will be shortly after that.
