Website offers the insider view of OzzFest
The OzzFest stop in San Bernardino, California will be filmed by MCY.com for a Webcast later in the fall. The site will also offer downloads of performances by all 22 participating bands. One of those bands, PANTERA, has announced plans to headline a South American tour in September and a U.S. run in November-December. In October, frontman PHIL ANSELMO will operate his annual haunted house in New Orleans, the House of Shock.
RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE was named Best Hard Rock/Metal Band last night at the L.A. Weekly Awards in Hollywood. As stated previously, they will launch the Rhyme & Reason tour with THE BEASTIE BOYS on August 2 in Toronto, Ontario. The tour is expected to run through September but so far dates through August 21 in Indianapolis, Indiana have been announced. Tickets will be available from Ticketmaster starting July 8 and two days earlier via the Web sites www.RATM.com, www.beastieboys.com and www.mtv.com.
METALLICA will chat with fans on July 7 at www.marsmusic.com at 6:45 PM ET. Marsmusic.com will also host an exclusive Webcast of the band's July 14 concert at 12 midnight ET.
CORROSION OF CONFORMITY has joined ROB HALFORD on the Sanctuary/CMC label Metal-Is, and has a new album in the works.
VAUGHN, made up of three former members of TYKETTO, will return to Europe for a tour of the U.K., Holland, Belgium and Germany from September 24 through mid-October. Upon returning home, they'll play one U.S. show at L'Amour in Brooklyn, New York on October 13.
