Alice Cooper tours again

ALICE COOPER's stateside tour supporting Brutal Planet will begin in Cleveland, Ohio on September 2, and continue on to Detroit on September 3, Greenville, South Carolina on October 13, and Chicago, Illinois on October 15. More dates will be announced...hopefully. Ozzfest will be ending in San Bernadino, California this year and not in Irvine as initially intended. The Irvine date was booked to deal with the excess from the San Bernadino show (evidently, there were security issues at San Bernadino which would have limited the crowd), but all issues have been resolved, and now Ozzfest will conclude with an enormous crowd in San Bernadino's Blockbuster Pavilion. ROSS ROBINSON, the producer who helped KORN, LIMP BIZKIT, SOULFLY and SLIPKNOT fine tune their sound, has landed himself a deal with Virgin records to distribute releases from his I Am record label. He was initially with Roadrunner, but Virgin is much more of a powerhouse. PAPA ROACH will tap director Marcos Siega for its next video, "Broken Home." Siega directed their video for Last Resort, which is in heavy rotation at MTV right now. BRUCE KULICK has confirmed that UNION has not broken up, but is simply on break while the individual members take part in various commitments (to put it bluntly, the last album barely sold, so unless they want to all go on welfare, they need to get paying jobs). Everyone's looking for confirmation of the re-insertion of DAVID LEE ROTH into the VAN HALEN ranks. Well, how's this for some evidence: Warner Bros. is going to be rereleasing Van Halen, Van Halen II, Women And Children First, Fair Warning, Diver Down , and 1984 as part of their Remasters series, each disc will contain original artwork and liner notes. A label usually does something like this when they want to draw attention to an artist who maybe hasn't toured in a while... So, you're in a record store, and you start seeing all of these remastered Van Halen discs... and it gets you thinking about them... then, a few months later...a tour announcement.
