THE RETURN OF GIANT

PRESS RELEASE: Frontiers Records and Now & Then Productions can finally and proudly confirm that, after almost two years of hard work, a worldwide deal with GIANT has been struck! The mighty band fronted by brothers DANN and DAVID HUFF, plus bass player Mike Brignardello, is finally back on scene at the beginning of the XXIst century. In December 1999, after a few telephone conversations, a meeting was arranged in Chicago, between Frontiers Records label managers Serafino Perugino and Mario de Riso with David Huff. The two explained their vision to bring the name and the music of Giant back on the scene to David, who expressed his interest and enthusiasm for the music that was created on their two albums Last Of The Runaways and Time To Burn. After the said meeting, several months of dealings and talks followed with many aspects being considered, especially the fact that the Huff brothers have always been convinced of the quite scarce interest of the fans and press for their reunion and come back on the scene. The label's position has always been very firm on this subject, so it was always underlined that our belief was that the return of the greatest names and musicians who created the bulk of the melodic hard rock scene, could finally reawakened the market and the media interest for classic hard rock music everywhere in the world. In the end, Giant finally acknowledged the label's vision and signed the agreement with the Anglo / Italian record company on March 3rd 2001. A compromise was found in order to make this comeback happen and that was that the album would be made of a combination of new and unreleased material with a few live and unplugged songs. As of today, it appears that the new songs will be completed in a time frame of 3 months from now for a release set to be sometime after the summer of 2001. Frontiers Records and Now & Then Productions wish to make a "call to arms" to all the serious rock fans in the globe to make the Giant come back NOT a one-off spin of a glorious name, BUT the chance for a real return of great rock music. The band is already committed to promotional appearances in Europe in support of the album's release. For concerts and festivals, all promoters interested can file their requests to Frontiers Records at the usual addresses. On a personal note, Frontiers Records and Now & Then Productions wishes to thank David Huff for the cooperation and the help given to make this exciting venture a dream come true! Also the band wishes to say hi to all the fans ("If any" - David added) and promises to rock hard on the next record !!! David would like to hear that the guys still have fans out here (I can't believe he doesn't know how many!!) - so I will set up a feedback page for him to see starting this weekend.
