TUFF GUITARIST STAYS IN TUFF
80's rockers TUFF don't have to worry about finding a new guitar player for their upcoming release party gig at Paladinos in Reseda, California on June 1 (and subsequent tour dates that are in the works). While guitarist Darrell Roberts did audition to replace Chris Holmes in WASP and was told he got the gig, the offer was rescinded. "He was even actively pursued by them," says Stevie Rachelle. "However after the fact, Blackie [Lawless] has been getting some serious backlash about Chris Holmes not being in the band and why the guy from Tuff? Now after a few weeks, rehearsals, passports, plane tickets, etc., he has been told, 'Sorry dude, it aint gonna work out.'" Roberts may be disappointed, but Rachelle is relieved: "Needless to say I'm happy that I'm not out a killer guitarist and another audition-filled nightmare."
