WES BORLAND RETURNS TO LIMP BIZKIT
Damn. I take a break for a few days, and look what happens.
LIMP BIZKIT have welcomed back original guitarist Wes Borland to the band after a nearly two year-long abscence. Borland
left in October 2001 to pursue more of his own projects, including the now defunct
EAT THE DAY project.
Several photos taken on Friday August 13th of the reunited band rehearsing are available at the band's
official website.
In an interview with Limp Bizkit fan website,
The Armpit, frontman Fred Durst comments on the departure of guitarist Mike Smith, who
joined the band last spring, and toured in support of the latest Limp Bizkit release
Results May Vary, but who has since left the band in the wake of the returning Borland. "We are very content with mike being gone" says Durst. "We are the type of people that stay true to our family and our instincts and at any moment will act on intuition as a whole. Mike wasn't the guy. We had fun playing with him, but always knew, in the back of our minds, that he wasn't where we needed him to be mentally. On that note you can assume that the shit we are writing now is fucking powerful and very emotionally laced with reality. Those who dare to go to the next level are in for a treat. Those that don't, we never thought they would anyway."
