THE ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME GETS WYLDE
OZZY OSBOURNE/BLACK LABEL SOCIETY guitarist ZAKK WYLDE will be presenting his first guitar to the ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME Museum on Saturday, October 11 at 1:00 p.m.
The guitar, which will be presented to Jim Henke the Vice President of Exhibitions and Curatorial Affairs in the Museum’s FYE store, will be Wylde's prized 1985 Les Paul Custom he received as a graduation present from his mother.
Wylde had been saving all his money from mowing lawns for this guitar. He would visit the guitar everyday at the music store.
"I would visit this guitar, like you would a dog that you wanted so badly, but could not get," explains Zakk. “This is the real deal guitar. It has the most sentimental meaning to me that I cannot place into words. My mother bought it for me." Wylde, who needed $350.00 to pay off the guitar, received it as a graduation present from his mother.
After the presentation, Zakk will be signing copies of the new Black Label Society CD, The Blessed Hellride, or the DVD, Boozed, Broozed and Broken Boned. In order to participate in the signing, you must buy the new CD or DVD at any area FYE store and present the receipt at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 11.
So, if you are in Cleveland, Ohio area, here is your chance to meet Zakk and lend him your support.
