SCORPIONS ANNOUNCE NEW BASS PLAYER

Bassist Pawel Maciwoda has been recruited by the SCORPIONS as the replacement for Ralph Rieckermann, according to the band's official website. "We have, during the months of recording the new album, got to know Pawel Maciwoda as a musician and friend and we look forward to working together in the future" writes the band in a post on their message board. "While Ralf, in the last couple of years, is involved more in the Film music side in his adopted home of Los Angeles, we still maintain a friendly and close relationship and wish him the very best of luck for his career."

The Scorpions are currently in the studio recording new material which will be released in the spring, and followed up by a world tour.
