From the enormously popular video game series, comes the Soundtrack to the movie bearning the same name. Now, I'm a fan of a handful of the acts on this disc... the others could all grow roots as far as I'm concerned...Well, as far as I WAS concerned...Normally, I don't get into soundrtacks, but I'm digging the tracks on this disc. Rather than slopping together a bunch of B-sides or filler tracks, Roadrunner has taken previously unreleased tracks and remixes from SLIPKNOT, MARILYN MANSON, COAL CHAMBER, STATIC-X, FEAR FACTORY, and SALIVA, and compiled them into a decent mix of today's hotter rock acts.
One track that I didn't think I was going to like, but I'm really getting into after hearing it a few times is the remix of "What Comes Around" by ILL NINO. It's a nice mix of melody and crunch, not normally displayed by those guys.
If the movie winds up being half as good as the soundtrack, it might actually make a few bucks, who knows?
