AIMEE OSBOURNE ACCUSES NICOLE RICHIE OF HARASSMENT

According to The National Enquirer, NICOLE RICHIE, star of the The Simple Life and daughter of singer LIONEL RICHIE, is under investigation for making harassing phone calls the OSBOURNE's eldest daughter AIMEE.

Richie and Osbourne became rivals when they both tried to win the heart of CHER's son. Now the West Hollywood Sheriff's Department is investigating a charge that Richie has been making harassing phone calls to Aimee, 21.

"Nicole has had it in for Aimee ever since the two were both chasing after Cher's son ELIJAH BLUE a few years back," said a friend of both girls.

Sergeant Neil Murchison of the West Hollywood Sheriff's Department told The ENQUIRER: "Aimee Osbourne came into the station to file a police report against Nicole Richie. The report claims that Richie and a friend, Casey Johnson, made numerous annoying telephone calls to Aimee. I am in charge of the investigation and will be conducting interviews with those involved to get all the facts. I can tell you that this is an active police investigation."

Richie and Osbourne used to be friends, but became rivals when they both romantically pursued Cher's son, said the girls' friend. "Nicole won the boyfriend battle and dated Elijah for a while, but she never got over the feud with Aimee. And over the years, Nicole has continued to taunt and make fun of Aimee whenever she's had the chance. Now Nicole has apparently gone from catty comments and taunts to phone call harassment. It sounds like she's made a number of threatening phone calls to Aimee. Fed-up Aimee went to the police to put a stop to the matter once and for all."

Casey Johnson of the Johnson & Johnson fortune is not only linked to this incident but was also with Richie when she reportedly smashed a glass in the face of a party-goer in a well publicized brawl at New York's Bungalow 8 nightclub back in October 2002.

Richie is currently on probation for heroin possession in 2003.
