exotic animal worker bitten by rattlesnake - caught on video
September 27, 2007 - A worker at a company that carries exotic animals is recovering in the hospital after one of the most venomous snakes in North America bit his finger. Surveillance video at a store called Strictly Reptiles captured a Western Diamondback Rattlesnake striking Tony Cruz, 37, who works at the reptile store. Surveillance video showed Cruz moving the snake from one container to the other, and he used the lid as a shield, so the snake wouldn't come out, but his fingers were caught underneath. After the snake struck, Cruz looked at his finger and called for help. A friend drove Cruz to Memorial Park Pembroke Hospital.
