January 29, 2008 - A paralyzed man in Lexington, Kentucky has been hospitalized after authorities say his pit bill puppy chewed off four of his toes.
The bizarre incident happened at a home on Bryan Avenue. Authorities say a man in his late 20's who is paralyzed from the waist down, identified by friends as Terry Smith, suffered the injuries. The five-month-old dog named "China" was removed from the home by animal control officers without any problems.
A friend of Smith, Tim Cantrell, told LEX 18 that he had stayed the night at Smith's home and that he woke up to find Smith injured in his bed.
