country singer kenny chesney injures foot on stage in south carolina
April 26, 2008 - Kenny Chesney hurt his foot after it got caught between a rising platform and the stage but still put on his show. The country singer limped around and was in obvious pain but still played his two-hour set at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina before more than 44,000 fans, The State newspaper of Columbia reported. Chesney's boot had to be cut off his foot after the show, the singer said in a statement that did not detail how serious the injury was. But he said he never considered stopping the show on his "Poets & Pirates Tour 2008." The next show is Thursday in Austin, Texas, and the tour's promoters have not announced whether Chesney's injured foot will affect the performance.
