slash performs at les paul tribute concert
November 15, 2008 - SLASH performed in front of a sold out crowd of 3000 at the State Theater in Cleveland, Ohio to pay tribute to 93 year-old Les Paul, the man behind the Gibson Les Paul electric guitar, has been played by leading rock musicians for over 50 years. Richie Sambora of Bon Jovi, Slash of Guns 'n Roses and Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top were among the headliners at the concert. Players from the earlier days of rock and roll included Duane Eddy, the Ventures, Lonnie Mack, James Burton and Barbara Lynn.
