romanian senator throws glass of water during tv debate
November 27, 2008 - During a televised debate in Bucharest, Romania, a former bodybuilder-turned-senator threw water in the face of his female rival after she tipped over her glass of water onto his lap. The senator, Marius Marinescu, and rival politician Anca Constantinescu were arguing on Romania's B1 television channel over upcoming national elections. The debate grew increasingly heated and Ms Constantinescu reacted by calling Mr Marinescu a "bidet" and knocking a glass of water in his direction. Mr Marinescu retaliated by saying that Ms Constantinescu had "a face like a bidet". He then picked up his glass of water and threw it directly into the woman's face.
