iraqi journalist throws shoes at us president bush
December 14, 2008 - President George W. Bush managed to dodge shoes thrown by an Iraqi journalist during a news conference in Baghdad. TV correspondent Muntadar al-Zeidi shouted "This is a farewell kiss, you dog," as he hurled one of his shoes at Bush. Bush ducked as the shoe flew by his head and hit the wall behind him. Just as the President regained his composure, al-Zeidi threw his second shoe and shouted, "This is from the widows, the orphans, and those who were killed in Iraq." Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki stuck out his right hand to shield him. Secret Service and Iraqi security agents subdued Al-Zeidi, who works for Al-Baghdadadia, and Iraqi-owned television station based in Cairo.
