machine head guitarist passes out in finland
July 25, 2009 - While performing at the Sonisphere festival in Pori, Finland, MACHINE HEAD guitarist Phil Demmel passed out on stage during the final song on the band's set list. This is not the first time Demmel has collapsed on stage. He suffers from a rare condition known as cardiogenic syncope (which involves the heart can fails to pump enough blood to the brain, resulting in a black out). MACHINE HEAD canceled the last two shows of their European tour with SLIPKNOT last December when Demmel passed out on stage toward the end of MACHINE HEAD's set in Sheffield, England.
