1959 chevrolet bel air vs. 2009 crash test
In honor of the 50th anniversary of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, a 1959 Chevrolet Bel Air was crashed into a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu, visually demonstrating how far automobile safety has come in the past 50 years. According to the engineers on the scene, the driver of the 2009 Malibu would have suffered minor knee injury, while the driver of the 1959 Bel Air would have died instantly.
