May 2008 - Police in Buffalo Grove, Illinois have released the dash cam video of a traffic stop where the driver of a car backed up over a police vehicle.
In the video the man, who speaks broken English, is pulled over for speeding.
When he's unable to provide proper identification, the officer asks him to pull from a turn lane to the side of the road.
When the driver completes that task, he argues with the officer. The officer then finishes writing the ticket, and instructs the driver to continue on his way.
At that point the officer gets back into his car.
That's when the driver throws his car into reverse, and backs over the police car, running up the hood and dash.
The officer called for emergency vehicles, but was okay.
