Opie and Anthony Confront Andrew Dice Clay LIVE on The Brother Wease Radio Show - Audio Online
Today, Opie and Anthony tried to resolve their differences with the one and only Andrew 'Dice' Clay this morning, and as you might have heard... it didn't work out so well.
In case you don't know the back story, here's a brief history:
- During their career at WNEW-FM and Infinity Broadcasting, Opie and Anthony had built a decent friendship with Andrew Dice Clay
- Andrew was responsible for introducing several recurring characters to O&A, including current show members Club Soda Kenny (Dice's longtime road manager) and Jim Norton (who used to be Dice's opener)
- In October 2000, after several successful radio appearances on the Opie and Anthony Show, Andrew was able to return to Madison Square Garden to a half-capacity crowd (which is impressive considering he was performing the same night as Game 5 of the World Series).
- After the Opie and Anthony Show was removed from the airwaves in 2002 after the legendary Sex For Sam stunt, the parties all remained friendly. In fact, Opie visited with Dice on a number of occasions at his house out west.
- Then one day, Dice stopped calling. He didn't just stop calling Opie. He stopped calling Club Soda Kenny and Jim Norton too. No one really knows why. It's never really been spelled out for anyone.
- Today, Brother Wease, Opie's radio mentor, who broadcasts out of WCMF in Rochester, had Dice on his show this morning, no doubt promoting Dice: Undisputed.
- Wease defended Opie and Anthony, who were waiting on hold on the other line. When they attempted to confront Dice LIVE... well, you'll hear what happened.
