SKELETONWITCH completes shooting video, readies for Danzig's Blackest of the Black Tour

Ohio’s SKELETONWITCH have completed the filming for the band’s debut video from ‘Beyond The Permafrost,’ which saw an October 2007 release through Prosthetic Records. Combining live footage from Stuart’s Opera House in Nelsonville, Ohio and additional narrative footage from various locales in southern Ohio from earlier this summer, the b-roll footage was wrapped in September. Director Brian Wiebe is a friend of the band and successful graduate of Ohio University’s School of Film in Athens, the unholy birthplace of THE WITCH

"Making the video was a killer time!” guitarist Scott “Scunty D.” Hedrick says proudly. “Lots of beer, weapons, and more than 50 pounds of animal intestines; how could we go wrong? I must admit, however, that shooting live footage for 10 hours straight wears you out more than actually playing a real set, resulting in the 'ultimate bangover.'"

After a handful of recent solo dates and shows with Trap Them, The Gates of Slumber, and Khann, to preface the tour, SKELETONWITCH begins the band’s involvement in the annual Blackest of the Black Tour tonight, which also features headliners Danzig and Dimmu Borgir, along with Moonspell and Winds Of Plagues in order to continue supporting ‘Beyond The Permafrost,’ the band’s second full-length and third release overall after 2006’s ‘Worship The Witch’ EP and 2004’s ‘At One With The Shadows,’ both independent, self-financed releases.
