ASSAULT ON THE MEDIA - JULY CONTEST WINNER - AUGUST CONTEST BEGINS - PLUS THREE NEW ASSAULTS

IT'S A NEW MONTH... AND A NEW 'ASSAULT ON THE MEDIA' CONTEST BEGINS!

The July edition of the Assault On The Media Contest is over and we have some winners to announce:
Grand Prize: 'Cape Guy vs. WWLP-TV in Springfield, Mass' - Tim
Tim wins a Delphi MyFi portable Satellite Radio (courtesy of myradiostore.com) and admission to the Opie and Anthony Studio in NYC - but of course we're not paying for him to come there.

Second Place: 'Meaty tits vs. WHDH-TV reporter Dan Hausle' - Steven in Salem, MA
(Steven wins an XM Cooler - On wheels with a handle in the front...black and gray and it's rather huge)

Third Place: 'Two guys screaming behind CBS-3 reporter Brandy Bell' - Tony from Hatfield, PA
(Tony wins an XM Polo Shirt / Hat / Seat Cushion)

In addition, It was a busy weekend for some of the 'pests' it seems. Buffalo Paul went after WKBW-TV his big ass Opie and Anthony sign ...he also had a camcorder in hand to capture the reporter's reaction.

Also, Vince and his buddy Ed hit Channel 12 News in Glen Cove, NY. It wasn't the best 'assault on the media', but it's worth a mention, because they did get a WOW sticker on TV.

Finally, a guy named Marc went after NBC-10 in the Philadelphia area when reporter Byron Scott was doing a story on a car accident... AND YOU CAN SEE THAT VIDEO OVER HERE

Remember, if you're going to try and pull off an Assault On the Media...you MUST follow the rules:

DO NOT TOUCH THE REPORTER(S) - You're trying to promote a radio show, not injure somebody. You can be a pest without touching the guy/girl

MAKE SURE THE CAMERA IS ON AND THE SHOT IS LIVE - You're just wasting your time if you're jumping around in front of a camera that isn't broadcasting.

NO CURSING - You can yell 'Opie and Anthony' as much as you want... please don't yell profanities or hold up signs with profanities on them. It's not going to impress anyone. You can hold up as many WOW signs/stickers, O&A signs as you want...and you can be a pest without cursing

Overall, just use common sense. Don't pick fights with producers, and don't get nasty with anyone. Just be a pest, because so many of you are SO good at just that. ...and if you're one of those 'special' folks who lacks common sense, well you should sit this out, and we'll send someone over to your place with some paste for you to eat.
