When 45-year-old engineer Ta-Bo arrives home, it's not his wife or girl
friend that's waiting for him.
They are "love dolls," or sex dolls, neatly and quietly sitting
on the sofa in his living room. He says to them, "Hi, I'm home."
Some may think it's a bit freaky. But Ta-Bo says he just cannot love real
women.
Ta-Bo is one of the increasing number of Japanese men who have given up on
dating or marrying women in the real world, and turned to these dolls for
love, affection and virtual sex.
Ta-bo has spent more than 170,000 U.S. dollars over the past decade to buy
nearly a hundred of these sex dolls.
