reporter attacked by suspect's father outside courtroom
July 12, 2007 - WTNH Channel 8 reporter Erin Cox was attacked by David Shefelbine, father of accused Internet predator Scott Shefelbine outside of a Harford courtroom. Tensions ran high as a Superior Court judge revoked bail for the 32 year-old alleged online sexual predator. Scott Shefelbine, 32, of Vernon, is now behind bars because a judge declared him a "danger to society." Shefelbine is being held at the McDougal Correction Center in Suffield. His father, David is now out on bond.
