chicago candy factory blown up for batman movie
August 29, 2007 - A building at the old Brach's candy factory near Cicero Avenue and Lake Street in Chicago was blown up around 2:15 p.m., sending a huge ball of flame and smoke into the sky. The makers of the latest Batman film--"The Dark Knight'--had converted a building on the Brach's compound into Gotham Hospital for the shoot.
