wilhelm scream compilation - a collection of movie clips that use the very same scream
Chances are, if you've seen a movie at some point in the last 30 years, you have heard what is known as 'the Wilhelm Scream', which is a stock sound effect first used in 1951 for the movie 'Distant Drums'. Actor-singer Sheb Wooley is considered to be the most likely voice actor for the scream, having appeared on a memo as a voice extra for the movie. This clip features scenes from various films that all use the Wilhelm scream.
