October 16, 2007 - During the beginning of her talk show, Ellen Degeneres emotionally describes the story of how she adopted a dog from a rescue group called Mutts and Moms. Ellen gave the dog to her hairdresser, who works on the show with her because she couldn't keep it at home with her other animals. When she told the rescue group what she did, they informed her that the agreement she signed dictated that the animal be returned to the group if the primary caregiver could no longer keep the animal. This news was devastating to Ellen as you will see from her Emotional response.
