November 11, 2005 - Elena Gibson from the UK is crowned as the 1st and official World Champion pole dancing in the first ever 'Miss Pole Dance "World' Championship. Gibson used Maurice Ravel's "Bolero" and "You Give Love a Bad Name' by BON JOVI during her six minute routine, but was later disqualified for 'stripping' during her act.
