french engineers develop air-powered car

|
A new car designed by French aeronautical engineer Guy Nègre and powered by compressed air will hit the roads by the end of the year.
Nègre and his son Cyril Nègre have developed the technology at their Nice-based family-controlled MDI Company in their attempt to manufacture a zero pollution producing and energy efficient vehicle.
The designers have worked on the revolutionary - yet simple - concept for about a decade and a half.
The vehicles which are not as expensive as electric- or hydrogen-powered cars will be sold between 3,500 to 5,000 euros.
