January 11, 2008 - Super Middleweight Edison Miranda scored a devastating third round knockout victory over 'Contender' star David Banks at The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
During the third round, Miranda clocked Banks with an early left hook and supported that with a left uppercut and follow up combination that scored beautifully. Banks was in retreat and at the two-minute mark he found himself against the ropes with Miranda bearing down on him. The Colombian connected with an incredible right hand that sent Banks through the ropes – his head resting on the judge’s table with his lower half balancing on the bottom two ropes.
