January 27, 2008 - A woman in Fox Lake, Wisconsin is facing a $740 ticket for O.W.I. after calling 911 to turn herself in.
Officers checking a 911 hang-up call made from a cell phone early Sunday reached Pat Dykstra, who said her 60-year-old boyfriend had convinced her to call police.
Dykstra said that she was driving home from the bar because her boyfriend was too intoxicated. She says she doesn't know why she let him convince her to call 911.
During the call, she told officers that her boyfriend believed Pat "had too much to drink and shouldn't be driving," according to the Dodge County Sheriff's Department.
She even described her vehicle before saying she was heading home. Police later found Dykstra at home.
