Shaun Ellis is from that rare breed of researchers - part genius, part crazy. He's spent 20 years studying them in the wild.
Eating, sleeping - living with wolves - trying to learn their language, finding out what makes them so frightening. It really is hair-raising stuff. No wonder they call him the Wolfman.
Now, while this may seem impressive to some, and certainly looked impressive during National Geographic's special "A Man Among Wolves", some are less than impressed with Ellis' antics.
Apparently, the whole thing was shot in a less-than two acre cage in a 25-acre theme park in Devon, England. Shaun Ellis is not a biologist, nor is he a trained animal behaviorist. He is not even an accredited zoo keeper.
