March 25, 2008 - Stealing a car in front of a police station isn't a good idea, especially when cameras are rolling.
But it happened in Gilbert, Arizona, just 23 miles southeast of Phoenix.
As it turns out, the stolen vehicle's owner was attempting to sell it to Sean Gleason.
The car's owner said he would drive Gleason to the bank, and took him to the police station instead.
That's when police say Gleason decided to steal the car right in front of police officers, and rolling cameras.
The 42-year-old led police on a car chase that later ended up with him in police custody.
KTVK 3 TV photo journalist Jesus Gallegos captured the whole event on video as he was interviewing a Gilbert police officer for an unrelated story.
