October 23, 2008 - Four fans sitting along the boards at the Bruins game were treated for cuts when a hit by Boston forward Milan Lucic shattered the glass and sent shards raining down on the seats at The Garden.
Two fans were treated at the arena for cuts on their faces, and then taken to a hospital for further care. Two others had cuts on their hands from touching the broken glass, but they returned to watch the game after treatment, Bruins spokesman Matt Chmura said.
"I looked over to see the two (fans). They had their face down," Lucic said after the Bruins' 4-2 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs. "I was just hoping they were all right. They pay good money to have seats like that, and that's the last thing you want to see happen to a fan."
