macy's thanksgiving day parade gets rickrolled by the real rick astley
November 27, 2008 - When Cartoon Network's float for Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, rolled into Herald Square during the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, the cast puppets were singing "Best Friend," (the theme from the 1970s TV series 'The Courtship of Eddie's Father'). But then -- about a minute into the song -- the float got live RickRolled by Rick Astley himself. Astley emerged from inside the float and began to lip syc (no, he wasn't singing) his 1987 hit, "Never Gonna Give You Up."
