The sequel to THE DESCENT finds the lone survivor, Sarah Carter, emerging from the Appalachian caves covered in blood, and almost catatonic... but no one believes her... so she is forced to join a rescue team back down into the darkness in order to locate her missing friends. Um, is that the ONLY plot line they could come up with? If you saw THE DESCENT, you know that anyone who got out of that cave alive would rather blow her own brains out than go back.
