man sets fire inside toronto bus
September 3, 2009 - Steven Edwards, 28, of Toronto is charged with arson, assault and a number of weapons offences. It's alleged Edwards started a fire aboard the vehicle at about 2;30 a.m. ET on Wednesday September 2, near the corner of Yonge and Bloor streets. No one was seriously hurt. The fire started after Edwards got into an argument with a woman at a bus stop and hit her, police said. Firefighters managed to put out the fire, but the TTC said the $700,000 hybrid bus is a writeoff.
