Now here’s a juicy item from the New York Daily News that surely has the WABC TV newsroom abuzz. Daytime news anchor Steve Bartelstein is accused in a lawsuit of stalking writer/producer Roderick McCullom, both on and off the job. According to McCullom’s suit, filed last week in Manhattan court, Bartelstein poked around outside McCullom’s apartment, trying to see in with a laser pointer and checking out the scene with binoculars. Bartelstein, the complaint alleges, propositioned McCullom at work, took drugs on duty, and posted nude photos of himself on America Online. Bartelstein calls the charges “completely false,” and plans to counter sue for defamation. 1087

Funny story about Bill Evans. He does those stupid morning segments at high schools and shit, and about 7-8 years ago on New Years he was in Montclair for the First Night festivities. He was setting up a shot and being a dick about it, threatening to call the cops on us if we got in the shot while he was on the air. We were 16, drunk as shit, and not to be fucked with by some corney ass weatherman. So I packed together an ice ball and wailed it at him, nailing him square between the shoulder blades. Appearently he was on the air, becuase my mom saw it. He tried to play it off with one of those "Well, things are a bit crazy here, as you can see" lines. We spent the next 45 minutes being chased by the cops. If anyone happens to find that on tape, I will pay good money for it, if only to win about 2 dozen bets... 1159
