October 8, 2007 - Investigators said that surveillance video shows a woman and a boy who appears 10 or younger working together to steal two donation canisters. Police said two canisters collecting money for Mothers Against Drunk Driving were taken. In one case shown on the video, the two approach an unstaffed register, fidget with trinkets near the checkout, and the woman then takes the canister, police said. In the second case, the two approach another empty register. Police said the boy can be seen moving the canister closer to the woman, who then slips it into her purse. Police said the woman could face up to a year in prison if convicted of theft and additional charges of endangering a child.
