Sole Junkie did these for some porno actress.

We at 2000 words are men of high morals and standards, and do not view porn.

We are not familiar with said actress.

Just Kidding, id hit that like a jackhammer.

Double Wrapped, and if enough time Double Tapped.

Sole Junkie reminds me of Kat Von D of that tattoo show.

Realy good at portraits.

Guys got talent, loved his iron man work. Another movie i havent seen too.

Check his site to contact him for some great art work.

from The Warfare Collective

"Below are some roughs i presented for EmmanueLabor's new identity. Im holding off on posting the final (which isnt really close to any of these btw) because i think hes doin an official release with some new product in a month or two.

Anyway, he basically wanted me to incorporate the tools he uses ie. exacto knife, brush, needle & thread, and he liked the idea of crossing objects. So these are the initial roughs i showed him."

THE VADER PROJECT

Posted: Tuesday, July 22, 2008

THE VADER PROJECT heads to Tokyo, Japan

13 Japanese artists join the original Vader Project and premiere their customized helmets in a stunning exhibition for Star Wars Celebration Japan

July 19 - July 21, 2008

Makuhari - Messe in Chiba

The Vader Project , a reimagining of the iconic Darth Vader helmet by some of today's hottest pop and underground artists, will be on display July 19-21, 2008 at Star Wars Celebration Japan , a landmark event being held at Makuhari-Messe in Chiba just outside Tokyo to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Star Wars . For more information visit www.celebrationjapan.com or www.celebrationjapan. jp

The Vader Project is curated by Dov Kelemer and Sarah Jo Marks of DKE Toys. Kelemer and Marks gathered close to 100 of the hottest underground and pop surrealist painters, artists , and designers to participate. Each artist was given a 1:1 scale authentic prop replica of the actual Darth Vader helmet used in the Star Wars films. Each helmet served as a blank canvas for each artist to paint, design, mash up, and customize.

Japanese artists include:

Bounty Hunter
Chino
Dehara
Devil Robots
Gargamel
Itokin Park
Mad Barbarians
Mori Chack
RealxHead
Secret Base
T9G
Touma
Usugrow
Yoko d'Holbachie

Many of these artists jumped at the chance to lend their talents to one of the most iconic pop culture characters in film history.

"This could not be a timelier event," Kelemer said. "The pop surrealist/ lowbrow/graffiti/designer art scene is exploding around us.   A canvas is what you make it, from bunnies to cows to toilet seats. The 'platform' group show has been around, and we have seen it all."

Ugly Doll co-creator David Horvath said it best: "It's Darth Vader! !! It's the most recognizable character in the universe. After this exhibition we don't ever need to be in a platform show again."

The Vader Project

The Vader Project originally premiered at Star Wars Celebration IV in Los Angeles in May 2007.   From there it traveled to Star Wars Celebration Europe in London in June 2007.   July 2007 brought 10 new helmets to the Star Wars Pavilion at the famed San Diego Comic -Con on International . The Project's exhibit at Star Wars Celebration Japan marks the first time the collection will be on display in Asia.   The future plan is for the exhibition to travel to museums, galleries, and events around the world. The helmets will then be offered publicly at auction. Details will be announced later. For more updates sign up at www.thevaderproject.com .

Dov Kelemer & Sarah Jo Marks
The Vader Project Co-Curators and Co-Founders of DKE Toys Dov Kelemer and Sarah Jo Marks make up one of the largest designer vinyl and art-toy distributors in the world, exclusively representing over 100 companies, artists, and designers. PUMA BBQ

Posted: Sunday, July 13, 2008

so puma added the basket to the mongolian bbq, their version of "id".

there's alot of neat selections in materials.

the shoe is fully customizable, even the stitching on the midsole!

sadly the shoe comes up short because you cant use one material for the entire shoe.

i wanted mine to be entirely this green reptile skin, but that is the most of the material i could use with an almost matching green to continue.

i added a fur liner just to be different.

for 100 USD, its a good deal but not great.

close to greatness, but not there yet.

"For Boston"

For Boston, for Boston,
we sing our proud refrain
for Boston, for Boston
'tis wisdom's earthly fane
for here are all one
and our hearts are true
and the towers on the heights
reach the heavens own blue.
for Boston, for Boston
'til the echoes ring again

For Boston, for Boston
thy glory is our own
for Boston, for Boston
'tis here that truth is known
and ever with a right
shall our heirs be found
'til time shall be no more
and thy work is crowned
for Boston, for Boston
thy glory is our own

'SNEAK'ER ATTACK ON TATTOO ARTIST

Posted: Monday, July 23, 2007

"July 22, 2007 -- It was a sneaky thing to do, and now a Long Island tattoo artist is suing Converse for allegedly ripping off a unique design and mass-producing it on sneakers that sell for $60 a pop.

Anthony "Zam" Zambito is suing Converse and Kinway Industries, a shoe store, in Manhattan federal court for copyright infringement and misappropriating his work.

The suit also wants Converse and Kinway to disclose how many shoes were sold.

Zambito and his wife, Laura, were on vacation in Barbados in March when they wandered into a sneaker store and saw a pair of the offending shoes.

"I've been wearing Converse since I was a kid," said Zambito, who runs the Visionary Tattoo Studio in Centereach. "At first I thought it was a bootleg copy; there's so much counterfeiting going on. But I checked with the store manager and he said no. I was pretty surprised, to say the least."

Zambito, who caters to customers seeking specialized, large-scale tattoos, added he was "definitely a little frustrated, but more so for my client than myself. It's a one-of-a-kind design. It's not like we took it out of a book."

Carlos Flynn, of Ronkonkoma, paid at least $5,000 and spent more than 40 hours having an original depiction of Bishamonten - a Japanese god of war - inked onto his back.

It took Zambito, who usually works on just two clients a day, seven or eight hours just to draw the piece, he said.

Flynn said he was relieved when the body art was done after four months.

"I commissioned an artist to make a design for me, and you just took it and walked all over it," Flynn complained in addressing Converse's alleged rip-off.

Zambito's lawyer, Jeremy Richardson, said Converse told him an intern got the tattoo image off the Internet. The attorney believes it was taken from the artist's Web site, zamtattoo.com, which displayed a photo of the tattoo.

"As soon as an artist puts paintbrush to canvas, or in this case, needle to skin, the artwork is fixed in a tangible medium" and considered protected by copyright, he said.

Converse declined comment, saying it was reviewing the lawsuit.
