These shoes were commissioned by a husband as a gift for his loving wife. They feature her name and initials, along with golden Swooshes and swirling flourishes. These custom made sneakers were painstakingly gilded in genuine 24 karat gold to produce the perfect gift for her birthday. A stylized emblem was created from her initials (R.R.) and gilded in place at the rear of the shoe; her first name was placed on the other side. Golden laces were used to accent the design.

Two of the worlds most recognized sneaker customizers, SBTG and Methamphibian, got together to design a pack of New Balance sneakers for Leftfoot stores.
They worked almost an entire year on two New Balance 576's - the Heaven & Hell Edition. The Hell edition comes in black and the Heaven edition in white. In recent years New Balance has released countless sneakers with special materials and colors, thus the artists wanted to use just one color per shoe this time and create as much depth as possible with the sneaker panelling.
The outcome is a regular black and white sneaker from far, incredible detailing when you get closer. These sneakers are not customs, but a collaboration with New Balance. The sneakers will be released in April at Leftfoot Singapore and Taipei, Undefeated Japan, Mita Sneakers and Atmos. Each colorway is limited to 444 pieces worldwide.

As the Official Outfitter of the NBA, adidas will continue to celebrate the game with a variety of new footwear launches, custom all-star jerseys and apparel.
The adidas Pro Model, which was launched more than four decades ago. On Wednesday Feb. 13, adidas is set to launch globally both a new on-court version, the adidas Team Signature Pro Model, and the classic original adidas Pro Model with a specially designed limited edition All-Star design.
The adidas Team Signature Pro Model, will be the third installment of the Team Signature collection. Featured in two distinct color schemes, both hooking back into the 2008 NBA All-Star Game Jerseys: white/red/gold for the Western Conference and white/red/blue for the Eastern Conference.
Accompanying the on court shoes will be the classic adidas Originals Pro Model. Looking to honor the Brotherhood of the past, the adidas Originals team has created an All-Star specific adidas Originals Pro Model. This limited edition adidas Pro Model will come in two colorways: gold/red for the Western Conference and silver/blue for the Eastern Conference.

PUMA and No Mas team up again with 4 new versions of the PUMA X No Mas First Rounds. These limited edition hi tops further celebrate last year's exhibition "The Lottery", which explored the ups and downs of Professional Basketball's draft. The new executions take inspiration from the teams that have been impacted by it's unpredictability.
The first is an LA inspired shoe that draws from the strong legacy of the Lakers. With high lights including black leather with purple embroidered lottery balls, three sets of laces with "No Mas" on the lace tips and the outsole. A very limited number of pairs will drop exclusively at UNDEFEATED Las Vegas, at noon, on the 13th. Just in time for those who will be attending MAGIC.
More detailed pictures after the jump.

Well, some go this way, some go that way. But as for me, myself, personally, I prefer the shortcut

props x a million to the king of sneakers
I've restored three pairs now. This is what I've done:-
1) Remove stained laces, throw in bin (the staining is permanent, more hardcore than 80's smoothrite). Replace with circa 1970's/80's Nike laces if possible.
2) Remove unsightly midsole staining with magic eraser and copious amounts of acetone.
3) Strip the dirty staining from the suede with a rag and yet more acetone. Re-dye with suitably coloured suede dye.
This is the last pair I did:-
Before
After

The swoosh and heal tab were stripped down and painted with off white angelus. The proper straight letter 'NIKE' was hand painted and some period laces replaced the stained efforts.

The mighty Adam aka Ghettrocentricity has plenty of deserved e-fame for his sneaker alchemy with his customising/cobbling skills, putting stealthy technology into shoes for visual impact, applying beloved patterns to unlikely sources, magically repairing seemingly-terminal conditions like cracking paint and most dramatically, solving the tragedy disintegrating midsoles with his secret batch of chemicals, tools and potions, leading to a pioneering midsole transplant operation. We've got mad love for the CT adicolor, but while the back in black approach makes it extremely versatile, the suede toe isn't condusive to the gloomy Winter weather. Surely something more resilient would give these bad boys added versatility? How about a shell? It might bring about the tired Neighborhood comparisons, but we're over that.
After Claw presented Adam with his crackpot scheme, Adam didn't bat an eyelid, taking to the task at hand with his usual glee. We've seen the ol' Campus Shelltoe b-boy conversion a few times, but this Century custom is a whole different kettle of fish. After the appropriate black piece to splice was sourced, the package was shipped to Ghettro HQ , where he delivered with ridiculous precision, not harming the Velcro tongue-trading system, and affixing and stitching them to the point where even on close inspection, they look like they were some early factory experiment in combining the Superstar35 and adicolor campaigns. Incredible work from a crazed genius who refuses to rest on his laurels. Just don't get him started on paints and leathers - he could talk about them for days. If you've got a shoe and a vision, holler at the man (www.ghettro.com) via ghettrocentricity@gmail.com
