SAW SAW?

Saw Saw?

I'm sure Steve C will probably disagree with me on this one, but I liked this flick.  The plot revolves around Cary Elwes and Leigh Whannell who awake in a dingy bathroom chained to some pipes with no recolection of how or why they are there.

I know what some of you are thinking.  "I saw the trailer, and I thought the movie was about some bitch with a device on her head that's gonna rip her jaw off."  Well, yeah, that's really the only thing that kinda pissed me off about this movie.  I fell for that one too.  Originally I thought the plot revolved around that as well.  In the movie however, it only eats up about 3 minutes of film.

I'm sure any of you who have seen this will agree that the movies premise as a whole is an excellent concept but certain elements definately lacked.  One being the acting.  Some scenes in this flick were almost downright laughable.  Also, the potential this screenplay had was immense and I just don't feel the actual movie brought out the classic psychological thriller this movie could have and should have been.

There have been alot of comparisons to "Se7en" starring Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman, however "Se7en" set a whole new standard for psychological thrillers and I just don't feel "Saw" made it into that leauge.

As far as an entertaining movies goes, you should check it out.  It still is a very sick and entertaining movie if you can stand some slow parts and some uber obvious plot holes.   The twist at the end was pretty sweet too.  Maybe I'm just an idiot, but, I didn't see THAT coming.

BROKEN WINDOWS

Posted: Tuesday, November 19, 2002

Hey Kids, do you want your VERY own COLUMN just like FoundryMusicDanny?!?! Well, CLICK ON OVER TO SITE NEWS and see if you've got what it takes to join in the depravity!

Why is it that with all the recent advancements in home computer technology, not to mention technology in general, I still can't seem to get a computer working properly. I can't boot up Windows, load a program or even install new hardware without getting some sort of error message or something freezing up on me. Why does Bill Gates and Microsoft insist on ass raping the entire computer using public?

Yesterday while playing Counter-Crack...er....I mean Counter-Strike my P.C. froze up on me as it usually does at least seventeen times a day. This, I'm used to. But this time when my slower-than-a-dead-mongoloid P.C. rebooted it tells me that I have a problem with my network card. Right. I have the problem. It's MY fault. What the fuck. Why can't I ever get a realistic, truthful error message from Windows. Something like "Oh Shit! I just fucked something up hard-core and I don't know what nor how to fix it. Sorry bro." But no. Windows is still insisting that it was me that did something horribly wrong. As if I woke up in the morning and said "Y'know what I'll do to piss off windows today? I'll install some old, outdated drivers and create some device conflicts."

Anyhow, I'm not a complete fucking moron when it comes to computers, so I had a pretty good idea on how to fix this network card problem. I checked my Device Manager and I immediately see that there is definitely a problem with the network card. When I clicked on its properties, Windows, being the idiotic operating system that it is tells me that either the device is not installed, not working properly or has outdated drivers. First of all I can't believe Windows had the balls to tell me that the device "may not be working properly." No fucking shit, Corky. And secondly how come Microsoft can't tell the difference between a device not even existing and a device that may just need some drivers. And yet we let Bill Gates become one of the richest men in the world by purchasing this sub-par, moronic operating system.

So of course I embark on this ridiculous wild goose chase for "updated" drivers. I found well...something and installed them. I reboot and wouldn't ya know. Same error message. Same problem. I've had just about enough of this electronic abortion and I decide to reinstall Windows completely. I'm not shitting you, the fucking thing actually blue-screened during the install. During the fucking install.

Now I have more problems than ever before, including Windows not recognizing my DVD-ROM drive, and, oh yes, my network card still isn't working. And this is just yesterday. I've had countless issues with Windows since I was fourteen, as I'm sure many of you, if not all of you have had as well.

The thing that really tickles my asshole is that Apollo 13 made it to the moon and back with a computer with 50 times less computing power that today's average desktop has. Imaging if they had today's PCs on that mission? "Houston, we have a problem. Our navigation system just blue-screened and we need our Windows 98 CD. And by the way, we can't hear you because our sound drivers need to be reinstalled.

And what about those highly informative "illegal operation" error messages. "Whatever.386 caused a general protection fault in EE0F:F0EE:OCDE" Thanks a lot fuckface, that really helps. Not only does my brain have AIDS, but it seems my computer does too.

MEH-HEE-CANS

For anyone reading this who is without humor in his or her soul, I present to you the following DISCLAIMER:
The thoughts, expressions, and views expressed in the following column are not shared by the management of this site. The ramblings expressed in this column are those solely of FoundryMusicDanny (Danny, change your name), a repressed, bitter, horrible, racist, alcoholic young man, who we pity enormously because he probably spends more time alone and drinking in his room than most people should. With that said, we hope you see the parody and humor in his brutally racist and fairly assinie column (Because trust me, it wasn't fucking easy for us to see...and we know the guy...sort of:

There they are on the street corner at seven in the morning. There they are driving their fifteen year old minivan with the chrome plated hubcaps. There's one mowing a lawn. Washing a car. Mexicans. Move over Negroes, here come America's new slaves.

Not that that's a bad thing persay. Who else will scape our land? Hell, I don't want to sweep and mop the floor of my bar. Plus, their so damn efficient. They work for less that minimum wage and they either take the bus or ride a bicycle to work, so there's less street congestion and their saving barrels upon barrels of precious fuel for us white folk. And because they barely make a living, they can't afford to live anywhere near me!

Sure, they're a burden on our economy and welfare system, but I'd much rather watch them spend my hard earned tax dollars than all these colored folk I see spending their food stamps while wearing their FUBU jeans and a $700 leather Averex jacket.

OK, so they have way too many kids, and they don't always smell too pleasant, but hey, who else is going to stand up twelve hours a day and make pizzas for sixty bucks. You're gonna find somebody else? Find me a jury, I'll go down on you. Ya gotta give 'em a lot of credit, Mikey, they work harder than Billy Joel's liver.

They do so much for us, but perhaps they could do even more. I mean, there's enough grease on their faces to lube up my engine. We could probably bottle that somehow.

So with the holiday season almost upon us, go out and find your favorite Mexican and do something nice for him. Buy him a taco. A new pair of work jeans, he's gonna need 'em with all that house painting. Something small even, like a can of Raid. He can kill all the roaches in his apartment, and it can double for deodorant.

..and if you have a problem with any of this (and God knows you should), please Email FoundryMusicDanny!
