just got home from the viper bar in long island, and i gotta say it was great to see O & A and little jimmy norton.
this being the first time i have been able to get to an event i was pretty pumped just being there. that excitement faded a little with every passing person's body odor. One guy i swear smelled like a rotting deer. we are a scary collective bunch the O&A fans. looking out over the crowd i can see why people sometimes roll thier eyes when i mention liking the show. i mean you would roll your eyes too at a 300lb man child in a yankees jersey yelling in the worst dice voice ever, " BITE HER NECK-AAAA".
As the night moved along, opie and anthony were on thier game and sounded great. They basically did a live version of the show, it was awesome to hear them and not an MP3 of an old bit. Even club soda kenny got up and did about 5 minutes of material, KENNY, I DONT CARE WHAT THOSE ASSHOLES SAY, YOU WERE FUNNY AS HELL.
autographs, t shirts WOW stickers and bottle openers were all being given away as promotional items. jim norton had two lines that still have me giggling like a school girl getting touched in her "no no" spot.
when jim saw the bottle openers he said, "they are the worst piece of shit i have seen, you couldn't take out a cancer patients tooth with one of those."
and when one of the fans got up to the table he called him "pete roses retarded brother" If you thought i was hard to look at this guy before Jim said that, try after.
the night winded down and i left feeling like i wish it was 6am monday morning. yea, i am a O&A fan, and yeah i am a little scary too.
now it is just a matter of hours till the show is back on the air, finally.
