RESIDENT EVIL 2: APOCALYPSE
As a whole, film soundtracks have kicked it up several notches from the days
of filler and throw-away tunes. Roadrunner has especially done an
outstanding job of releasing one of my favorite soundtracks in recent years;
The Freddy Vs.
Jason Soundtrack. With Re
sident Evil: Apocalypse, we see another great collection of artists,
including SLIPKNOT, THE USED, THE CURE, ROB ZOMBIE,RAMMSTEIN,
KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, and a number of other budding acts.
The Slipknot track, "Vermillion" is a great track, but it's not new; it's already
on track to be the band's next single from Vol 3.
(The Subliminal Verses). I could honestly do without the tracks from
the Used or the Cure, but the LACUNA COIL track is great. They're like the
Italian EVANESCENCE (I hear they can't stand that comparison though). Killswitch
Engage knocks one out of the park with "The End Of Heartache", the first single
from the soundtrack, and I think my FAVORITE song on the entire compilation
is "Escape From Hellview" by CKY. I never really regarded those guys as
anything other than Bam Margera's house band...but I like that song a lot.
Rammstein never disappoints, and they're not about to with their
contribution, "Mei
n Teil", which comes off their upcoming Reise, Reise disc. DEVI
