I like the fact that the Coheed and Cambria guys are pumping their songs full of memorable licks and choruses. Sure, being able to play, write, arrange, and perform the doors off every other local prog-rock band is one thing... getting on the radio is something else entirely.
"A Favor House Atlantic", while oddly named, has a great chorus that just begs to be thrown on the air....which it IS (at leas here in New York it is).
More cerebral rock music fans (RUSH fans, I'm looking in YOUR direction) will latch onto Coheed and Cambria fairly quickly. Everyone else is just going to have to hold hands with the smarter kids until you learn to like it.
